"Prior to the release of Swinging Strings, I do not know of any other full-length jazz albums of unaccompanied harp, making the release of this CD somewhat of an historic event. Lori's creative treatments of such standards as "Popsicle Toes,""Take Five" and a delightful "Is you is or is you ain't my baby" are high points but her original material is also quite enjoyable. Andrews de-emphasizes the prettiness of her instrument and digs in with some soulful statements.
